Black Outfit Picture
The Hall picture is a time for our Lyonites to show their dorm pride! All of our residents gather below the arch in their favorite black outfits and handmade lion ears for a community picture. Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, but make it black! We have to show the world just how classy Lyons really is! This photo is such a great opportunity for us to come together as a dorm and show how much Lyons love there really is to go around.

Each first year resident is assigned an upperclassman "Big Sis" who will serve as their mentor during their first year at Notre Dame. Bigs have the honor to guide their Littles through everything from academics to where to eat to football games to basically everything Notre Dame related. They have already been in your shoes and know exactly how to navigate through school, classes, teachers, friends, significant others, and everything in between. Being able to have lunch/dinner or hang out with your Big fosters the community that is so prevalent in Lyons and can create a sense of family that people can miss being away from home. To cement this bond, Lyons has a Big-Little Ceremony after the conclusion of Welcome Weekend and many Big-Little bonding events throughout the school year.
